It's survival of the fittest - the condition that requires us to continually change, evolve, and to adapt to the surroundings as the come, go, and fade. You have that innate skill; it's in your blood to succeed. Keep it up!

That is awesome to hear.

I recently started with a personal trainer, as I am taking a break from Jiu-jitsu and I want to keep in shape. (I am actually learning how to maintain my fight weight with 15% body fat… something that has been a challenge for me.)

Anyway, it is nice to hear that as a personal trainer you take pride in when your trainees meet their goals.

And, I wanted to add that taking photos is awesome. After I had my children my body kind of went to hell in a hand basket, and when I started to get back into shape I made a photo diary. When I go back and look at my old pictures, I am FLOORED by the progress I made, and it keeps me motivated.

Also, it may just be my browser, but it does not allow me to type my comment in the comment box. I had to type it out in a word doc and cut and paste it in.

Couldn't agree more, the older I get the more important balance becomes in my measure of success.

I've learned over time that any amount of success in one aspect of my life doesn't make my dissatisfaction with another any less. There are no short cuts, just need to tackle that area head on and get everything balanced out.
