Sometimes when the weather is bad or I don’t get my 8-10 hour of sleep, I get killer migraines that last all day. Today was one of those days…
I toughed it out all day, and took a nap in the afternoon, the nap hardly made a difference. At about 5 pm, right before training, my migraine got a little bit worse.
I popped some more Exedrin Migraine’s and headed out. They definitely helped and relieved it a bit but the beginning of the class just wasn’t the same type of focus and intensity that Im used to.
Instead of being upset about it during training and making it even worse, I totally made the best of it and attempted to push myself as far as I can with the headache.Even though my focus wasn’t what it was supposed to be, I kept up the intensity around the same as always. The result? an awesome training session, the disappearance of my headache, and a certain euphoria you feel after a great/productive training session.
Next time you feel a headache or a migraine, just remember if your man enough to push through it, there will be no regrets for that evening! MAN UP AND TRAIN!

You really should see a doctor and get a prescription for Imitrex. I suffer from migraines occasionally and there’s no good reason on the planet to push through that kind of pain. Man, woman, “man enough” or “woman enough”– something as simple as dilating the blood vessels in your head briefly will bring you such relief, you’ll hate that you didn’t do it sooner.
Funny you mentioned that, I just got a prescription for those the next day after that. Thank you for the input!
