So yesterday I was driving by a block and I seen a bunch of news trucks and cop cars. I was wondering what happened and totally rubbernecking just to see a squirt of blood or anything else liken to a newsworthy story. Although I did not see anything at all. On the drive home I wondered what happened and I thought that luckily for someone my curiosity was not settled.
This morning on my early morning commute to Long Island, Hot 97′s Rosenburg had 90 seconds of news. He said some guy from Gerritsen Beach got killed by police yesterday because he would not put down the toy gun he was holding. According to witnesses he was standing by an elementary school holding a toy gun. The police said the toy gun was very realistic, and when they asked him to put it down he refused, so they opened fire.
Wow thats totally insane! A few questions arise…
Why the fuck was a random grown man hanging out by an elementary school?!
Why did he have a “toy gun” outside of a elementary school?
Did the cops really ask him to put down the weapon?
A bunch of other why questions arise. As always when someone gets killed by the cops, there is always a questions of did the witness/police accounts really happen?!
I would definitely not want to be in this mans shoes. If the accounts from the witnesses and police are true, then what did he expect to happen?
For future reference if you are going to pull something like that, make sure your gun shoots so you can at least defend yourself from rouge police, and if its a toy, then PUT THAT SHIT DOWN!
